We sat down with Baltimore Member Aneka Winstead, Owner of WATT Business Solutions, to discuss the early stages of her business, business during Covid-19, The WELL and more! Here's her story.

What inspired you to start your business?

Controlling my own life and building my legacy.

What struggles did you face when you first launched? What struggles, if any, do you continue to face?

Learning my industry and bringing in clients [was a struggle].  [Right] now I feel like [I'm] attempting to manage all the things but that is getting much better.

What is one of your proudest professional moments?

Being able to attain capital for my business.

What is one hard lesson you learned?

Don't leave your full time before your ready!

What is your advice for other Black women business owners?

Bet on yourself always. You only have this one life so do everything and regret non of it. Stay prepared so when the opportunity comes you don't have to prepare

What is the most rewarding part of your work?

Helping clients get to the next level in their business.

How has Covid-19 impacted your business?

It has allowed me to gain funding!

How has being a member of The WELL served you during this challenging year?

The WELL has connected me with finding and clients as well as giving me an opportunity to vent and talk and resolve my problems and celebrate my wins.
